For Marin!
Marin, Marin!! Lookie what I found!!

Holy CATS! I don’t know how I missed this before, but the Web Wench at talklikeapirate.com has a Knit Like A Pirate page!! There’s a free pattern to make this cool bag and some other stuff too.
I mean really… skulls, pink, yarn… it’s just screams Marin. Can you hear it??

I couldn’t sleep…
I kept looking behind me, walking down the street…
I turned the TiVi up again and again…
…because the pirate bag was whispering to me, then yelling, then screaming…
I’m thinking Cascade 220.

Ooooh… they think Cascade 220 too! Let’s see… if I skip lunch, I can stop at the Cascade 220 store on the way to pick Kelley up for Third Thursday festivities…

Lyda, you could totally do this–it would be a great intro to colorwork for you! But don’t do it in cotton–much harder for this kind of thing!
And now I want one too … I am soooo in trouble now!

I think I might have to try it too. But NO PINK on mine! LOL!! Hmmmm… maybe black and lime green! Yeah, that’s the ticket!

We could do an informal knit-along…

That would be fun! I’ve never done a knit-along before. How do they work?

We all agree we want to knit the thing, we start knitting and we bounce questions off each other as we go. That’s the support group part.
Often, a competitive thing sneaks in and there’s always some damned overachiever that finishes in, like, two days and everybody else wants to put her eyes out with a DPN. Sometimes, the competitive thing rears its head as a bet where whomever gets done first gets a beer from the loser.
Mostly, we just decide we all want to knit the same thing and bounce problems and solutions off each other.
